Eleven Collection are my absolute favorite shoes for kids. We first tried these out a few months ago with my daughter, who has a wide foot and fell in love with them for their flexibility, durability, and style. I’m happy to say after several months of hard core shoe wearing, they still look like new.

Again, we were able to review another pair of shoes. It was my son’s turn and he picked the Caper. This is a great choice because it is a shoe that can be casual or dressy depending on the outfit. He has been asking every single night since we picked them out when his shoes would be here. So when the box came and we opened it up, he was ecstatic.

As it happens, my husband has created little shoe monsters of my boys. His obsession with shoes has trickled down to their obsession with shoes. On one hand it is good because they don’t request cheesy character shoes. On the other hand, it can get frustrating trying to buy just the right pair.

Eli’s response to Eleven Caper was “These go good with my skinny jeans.” (Side Note: He has a pair of jeans that his older brother and sister tease him about because they are a slim style – but they fit him good and look cute!) He also promised to never throw a fit again and if he did I could take away his new shoes. So I’m excited to be able to share these shoes with you.

You may have clicked the link for the shoe we picked and thought, wait – this isn’t a bargain. Some things like the shoes that protect your little ones feet are worth paying more for. A bargain is more than the least expensive item. I’m all about QUALITY bargains!

Bargain Tip: One thing to remember about buying higher quality products, is the resale value. Since they are of higher quality, they are more durable and usually your child will grow out of them before they wear them out. Thus, giving you a higher resale value if you resale on Ebay or take to a consignment shop.

Reasons why I love shoes from Eleven

Durability These shoes stand up to all the elements. Soft leather uppers with durable rubber soles.

Style A variety of modern styles with fun, bold color combinations. Sometimes you need extra bold to spice up a plain outfit or a pair of classic shoes with a modern twist. Whatever you need, Eleven has it.

Flexibility These shoes are flexible yet give support to your child’s feet. Flexible so you can actually put the shoes on them with little effort. There is NO “break in” period like you have with other shoes. They are out of the box ready to wear.

Ease Because of the flexibility, your child can put these shoes on themselves easy. Even our almost three year old feels big because she can put these shoes on by herself easily. Giving your child confidence and you time!

Eleven shoes are available in whole sizes 9-3 (see Size Chart) and are designed for children ages 3-8. They are a family run company headquartered in Portland, Oregon, who is a sister company with See Kai Run. Prices retail from $54 – $60. Sandals from $48- $60.

Part of our Swag at Blissdom was a $50 Crocs certificate. At first, I thought I would buy one of my kids new shoes. However, that would have caused drama on who I picked and after browsing around crocs.com decided I HAD to have a pair of cute Crocs.

If you haven’t checked out Crocs for awhile, you need to browse around. They have many updated and chic styles. I decided on the Malindi in leopard. (It was actually my third choice but I’m not complaining since they were free!) They are so comfortable just like the clunky Croc version but these are cute! From far away you can’t tell they are even made of the same material as the original Crocs. However, when you get up close you can tell. Loved these! I’m wishing I would have picked a more neutral style, though, so I could wear them everyday.

Oh, and I did end up buying my youngest son (4) a pair of fuzzy Crocs this weekend. We found them on clearance for only $14.97. He had the choice between a Colts pair and the black. He was smart and picked the neutral color and less expensive pair. (There are lots of styles on sale at different retail stores and crocs.com due to the new spring line coming out!)

P.S. Crocs has a blog too – you will see all the great things they are doing all over the world!

Check out the stylish new Crocs and tell me which style is YOUR favorite!

Sometimes a Bargain isn’t always about the cheapest product. Sometimes it is finding the right product to fit your needs. Our two and a half year old daughter, Sofia, has wide feet. When I say wide, I mean extra wide, fat, chubby, sweaty feet. It is hard to find shoes that fit her properly – especially stylish shoes. After spending $5-$10 here and there on clearance shoes from various brands we’ve finally came to the realization – that just doesn’t cut it for her. There is no point in spending a few dollars for shoes that won’t fit her and make her miserable. We have to go ahead and spend the extra for shoes that fit properly. We’ve been limited to just a few brands before I happened upon shoes from Eleven Collection.

When browsing the catalog, it was hard to choose. So many modern styles with bold color and creative designs. Did I want to try boy shoes or girl shoes? It is hard to find a wide selection in boy’s shoes or clothing but Eleven’s shoes has many stylish boy shoes to choose from. There is even an adorable shoe just like our Sofia, called the “Sofia.” In the end, practicality won, and I picked a shoe that would work with most of her outfits and hopefully last her until late spring called Josie. Sofia was so excited to wear these shoes. She can even put them on herself because of the design of the shoe which allows for a foot to be inserted easily into the shoe. Unlike other shoes where you have to do all sorts of acrobatic tricks to shove a foot in them, the “Josie” like all of the Eleven Collection allows for easy/on off with Velcro closures.

Eleven’s shoes are available in whole sizes 9-3 (see Size Chart) and are designed for children ages 3-8.
