Smart Ones Morning Express: Tasteful, Quick Breakfast

by Briana on January 7, 2009 · 14 comments

I had the chance to try Smart Ones Morning Express Breakfast Quesadillas this past week. For those of you who follow Weight Watchers, One Smart Ones Quesadilla = 4 points. There are (2) Quesadillas in one box. One for now, one for later! (My only complaint is they aren’t individually sealed so I had to seal the second one in a freezer zip lock bag.)

This was a very tasty and fulfilling breakfast due to having 13 grams of protein at the “right” calorie cost. I would rate this Quesadilla at higher quality than some Fast Food Quesadillas and it had much less calories. This is a product you can start your day with when you are on the go…I’m think I’m ALWAYS on the go.

Devin Alexander, and expert for Smart Ones, has a helpful video posted on some other great ways to start your morning. Which is great to me, because a frozen meal is not something I would want to eat every morning but it is nice to have for convenience on those days when you don’t have time to do ANYTHING else!

Smart Ones Morning Express are also available in these varieties:

If you sign up at the Morning Express Breakfast Club, you will be able to print a $1/5 coupon. Smart Ones is also donating $1 to Share Our Strength: No Kid Hungry for every new sign up.

The video was helpful for me. Any of these ideas would beat the breakfast I have some mornings when in a hurry. the quesadilla looks especially good.

I like to have frozen breakfast items in the freezer so if someone wants something a “little different” they can. These look pretty good.

I can tell you the egg McMuffin type sandwich is very good. Haven’t tried the rest. I agree with you that eating these every morning isn’t very sensible (or frugal!). But they are nice to have on hand for busy days, or just for a change of pace.

I haven’t tried the breakfast items yet but the Smart Ones entrees are really good. The Canadian Bacon english muffin sounds really good. I’ll have to give these a try!

That two in one package deal would be a little annoying. But other than that, it sounds like a great product!

I liked your review on the smart Ones Morning Express selection- they sound delicious. I agree that there should be a zip-closing bag inside the box since there are 2 servings in the package. With that amount of protein, the quesadillas should be very satisfying.
