I have the product for you: Kernel Seasons. Adding appoximately only 1 calorie per cup of popped popcorn, you can have the fun flavors of Kernel Seasons. While you can’t quite count it as a veggie, popcorn is a great source of fiber and is fun to eat.

Kernel Seasons can be used for more than popcorn. On their website, they have many recipe ideas including Homemade White Cheddar Potato Chips, Southwestern Cheddar Casserole, Low Fat Beef and Couscous, and many many more. You can be creative and use it in almost any recipe for a low calorie, flavorful option.

We had the opportunity to try 12 different flavors. We are only about half way through them and the kids are loving it. Our favs so far are Caramel, Nacho Cheddar, Butter, and Kettle Corn to name a few. Here’s a list of all the great flavors you have to choose from: Butter, Caramel, Kettle Corn, Nacho Cheddar, Parmesan & Garlic, Ranch, Salt, Sour Cream & Onion, White Cheddar, Jalapeno, Barbecue, Cajun, Apple Cinnamon, and Chocolate Marshmallow.

Directions:

Microwave Popcorn: Generously sprinkle 1 capful onto freshly popped popcorn. Close bag and shake well.

Air-Popped Popcorn: Spray popcorn with fat-free vegetable oil spray to help the seasoning stick. Generously sprinkle 1 capful of seasoning onto popcorn and shake well.

These are available in many stores nationwide, you can find one near you here. Join the “No More Naked Popcorn” Revolution by signing up for the newsletter. It is a true dry rub. Whereas many rubs include heavy salt filters, Rod’s Rub uses only the best ingredients to make their delicious rubs. Available in 5 varieties: Steak Out, In the Black, Citrus Tang, Sweet Mesquite, and Original All Purpose .
We recently had the opportunity to try Rod’s Rub. Rod’s Rub is truly amazing and easy to use on almost anything. To the left you will see a picture of pork spare ribs with Rod’s Mesquite Rub. I followed the easy directions on Rod’s Recipes to make these mouth water ribs. Simply apply a bit of rub, apply a thin layer of olive oil, pour the rub over the meat, and rub in circular motions. The Mesquite was much better than using regular barbeque sauce and had just the right away of tanginess.

The previous night (not pictured), we used the original rub on sirloin steaks. I wasn’t quite as generous with the seasoning as I was with the pork. They were still very tasty. Though, I highly recommend not worrying about conversing your rub…Pour it on for lots of flavor!

You can also be CREATIVE! Many users have reported using Rod’s Rub on items other than meat and are loving it! I also have some Tilipia (of course on sale!) in my freezer with Citrus Tang written all over it. You can order online at Rod’s Rub.

If you are looking for a healthy way to spice your meals, this is the seasoning for you. You can add lots of flavor without ruining your diet!
