A few weeks ago, I told you about some of the new shows on CBS. The Good Wife was one of my favorite and I have it set on my DVR. I can’t wait for the second episode tonight as one episode was just not enough of this show.

Have you been watching the Good Wife? If not, you may consider tuning in tonight for the second episode on CBS at 10pm EST. Julia Margulies and Chris Noth are just two of the best reasons to tune in!

The show mirros real life political wives who have been scorned publicly by their cheating husbands. Can you imagine a greater humiliation than something so private being so public? We never really see what goes on behind the scenes or get a perspective of it from the spouse view and this show hits it. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the series plays out.

If you are an adult and liked the Twlight series, you will LOVE the Sookie Stackhouse series. Stookie is a human with a special gift – she can read minds. So when Bill Compton, vampire, walked in it was a breath of fresh air to hear complete silence as she can’t hear vampire’s thoughts. This beings her love affair with supernaturals or “supes” as they are called in the Sookie Stackhouse series. Vampires have come out of the closet so to speak in this book series and are not trying to hide their identity like in other series.

The series is part comedy, part mystery, and lots of fantasy. It is an addicting book series, which I read all the books which have been released in about a 10 day period. Yeah, 9 books in 10 days. Once I got started I could.not.stop. There wasn’t much blogging going on during that period and MANY late nights. The books are not as long as the Twlight books but they are packed full of many interesting characters, which Charlaine Harris develops to their fullest extend.

The newest book doesn’t come out until 2010 and I’m already on pins and needles waiting for its release. If you do start this series, make sure you have plenty of spare time during that period or take a leave from work. I’m warning you, these books are addicting as vampires need blood!

If you love the books, you may also be interested in the True Blood series, an HBO original series based on these novels. True Blood Season one stayed pretty true to the book series, have excellent acting, and great effects. You won’t be disappointed in this series like I was with the Twlight movie. Do note, that the series is not appropriate for children and probably not appropriate for many adults as it is very naughty.

True Blood Season Two is a little strange and doesn’t follow the book series as much as the first season. I was also a little disappointed when they introduced the Queen and she was nothing like I pictured her to be. Personally, I usually prefer the books over the movie/television show if I have a chance. True Blood is a good series but it doesn’t follow the book exactly. Which is good and bad. Good if you’ve read the books, you can still be surprised in the series. Bad if you really prefer the scenarios in the book over the show.

Nowadays, with all the blogging, I don’t get much time for it. However, I recently had the opportunity to watch two new epsides of the new original series from TNT, Trust Me. Trust Me, stars Eric McCormack and Tom Cavanaugh in this witty drama series, which centers on the contrasting friends working as partners in a top Chicago ad agency.

Previously seen as Will on Will & Grace, Eric McCormack plays Mason McGuire, a top advertisting creative director. He is quick on his feet but trying to play a nice guy in the cut throat advertising world. He is a responsible, workaholic family man with a loving wife and two children. By contrast, his best friend and writing partner, Conner, played by Tom Cavanagh is impuslive and unpredicatable. The dynamics of their friendship will be tested when Mason is promoted and becomes his “boss.”

Trust Me had me laughing and waiting anxiously for episode 3. If you are a fan of other TNT original dramas, you will enjoy this show – Trust Me. (One more note: You might recognize the Account Executive as Samantha’s doorman on Samantha Who?) Trust Me premieres Monday, January 26th, 2009 at 10pm right after The Closer. One nice thing about cable Original Programming, is if you miss it on night 1, you will be able to watch it several times during the week. Don’t miss this one. Original, witty, with just the right mix of drama.

I’ve been a fan of this show since Season 1. Dt. Johnson’s eccentric investigation tactics have had me hooked! (This is actually one of the few shows, my husband, Mr. I fall asleep 5 minutes into a show, will watch and stay awake for.) In September, Detective Sanchez had been shot three times while saving the life of Detective Lt. Provenza as they tried to capture a killer. Sanchez’s fate is unknown.

I had the opportunity to watch the first two episodes. In these five episodes, we will learn the fate of Fritz and Brenda’s relationship. Will they make it down the aisle? While Brenda is a brilliant interrogater and investigator, she has relationship flaws. I’m surprised Fritz has put up with her this long as it is alot of give from him and take from her. In these episodes, we will finally get a glimpse into Fritz’s family when his sister helps Brenda with one of her cases as well as the return of Brenda’s sweet and lovable parents.

Since I can’t give out any spoilers, you will just have to check this show out for yourself when it returns next Monday, January 26th at 9pm on TNT.
