There are different ways you can play this game. You can choose a fun theme for your party. There are many to choose from. My kids choose Pirates theme. You can also play “Free Play” if you don’t want to do an actual party.

Basically you compete against each other in fun little mini games, like pop the balloon, unwrapping gifts quickly, races, pinata, and much more. There are 20 games total to choose from. My little ones 5 and 3 liked the balloon pop the best as they seemed to be able to play this one easily. The games are meant to be played in a quick time limit to give many kids a chance to play.

While the time limit is good if you only have a couple of kids playing it can get time consuming waiting for the next game to being. However, during an actual party, this is a great feature.

Thanks to the Role Mommy Network we were sent Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball for Wii to try out.  Overall, the concept is great, the characters are cute, and it is a game the whole family can play. So who will win when Pirates go head to head with Ninjas in the big game of dodgeball?

My eight year old son and his friend said they had fun playing this game. Though, I would not recommend this game for “hard core” gamers. This game is more suited for tweens or younger children. It is rated E for everyone 10+. Another cool feature is that is a game that can be played with up 4 players!

The game is played with seven different teams which includes the Pirate and Ninja teams and also includes Zombies, Robots, Aliens, Monsters and Mushroom Men. A few characters are a little creepy but most are just cute. There are 8 interactive arenas for a  variety of fun.

One drawback is the characters are a little hard to change but overall this is a fun, family game. It is really fast paced so it is hard for us “older” people to keep up. In contrast, the kids seemed to get the hang of the game rather quickly.

Overall, a fun, family game!

Wii Pirates vs. Ninja Dodgeball Game from South Peak Games looks like a blast. It is for ages 10 and up. “In Real Life,” Dodgeball is one of my kid’s favorite activities!
