Yanni who? I had only a brief knowledge of Yanni before getting a sneak peak back in February of the new PBS Special Yanni Voices. Since I wasn’t a huge fan before, I don’t have anything to compare it to. However, I find this CD relaxing and the vocalists very talented.

This is the first time ever Yanni music is being heard with vocals on this recently released CD Yanni Voices. This is not my normal type of music but it is very soothing and enjoyable to listen to. The vocals are sung by Nathan Pacheco, Leslie Mills, Chloe, and Ender Thomas.

The calming affect was put to the test one evening when I was having a very bad night with my two youngest children. I had picked them up from daycare and they were both crying and thrashing about. I thought I was going to lose it – whining kids. I had Yanni Voices in my CD player and decided to play it full blast. Within 30 seconds – quiet. Both children had their fingers in their mouth and there was no more whining. I don’t know if it was a coincide but it appeared to work for them. For this alone, the CD will stay in my player in my van.

Those of us who attended Blissdom 2009 were treated to a special sneak peak at the PBS Special Yanni Voices. Oh and guess who was at Blissdom 2009? Oh, yeah, Nathan & Ender, who are two of the hot vocalists. They were both so cute in person and said nice things about their moms. They knew how to work the room and were sweet enough to sing Happy Birthday to a few Birthday ladies!

You can see a complete show listing here. We even had a special treat when Yanni and Ender showed up LIVE. Let me say, I am loving Ender’s current hair style – short. Both are adorable and knew how to work a room of women by giving credit to their mothers!
